Looking Back To Our First Virtual Paint Party!

We debuted in the virtual space long before the invisible enemy would disrupt everyday life.

At the time when the request for a virtual party came in through our FaceBook Page, we were excited.

This was a
space we wanted to bring value, fun and engagement to our customers as we decided early out to not have a brick and mortar location.

Our soon to be An Eye 4 Art artists, had family visiting from out of town and
“wanted nothing more than to do something fun and memorable, without the stress of the holiday crowds and traffic filled roads. When we heard about the virtual paint parties, we thought it was a perfect way to connect with one another and create new memories without the stress of getting our family of nine to a venue”.

They did just that!

We’ve worked on making the booking process super simple and when a personal touch is needed, someone from our team is on hand to talk you through the best solution, whether it be timing, shipping or even a series of events for select businesses who have themed nights and need art aligned paintings to amplify the themes.

We got the supplies packaged and shipped a week in advance, complete with the canvas, paintbrushes, paint, apron, cups, tablecloth to help keeping the area clean and paint free as well as a detailed instruction sheet about login details and a walk through each step as you create your masterpiece.

It’s very similar to our D-I-Y At Home Experience Paint Kits. You can purchase these on any day and in any amount.

BBQ paint party maybe? Hmmm! That sounds super cool…

We don’t say “An Enjoying Experience for Everyone” and not mean it.
Picture
We checked in with our virtual An Eye 4 Art artists to learn about their experience and ask a few questions.
In summary here’s what they shared, much to our delight: it’s not the kind words that bring us joy and hope, it’s satisfaction that they clearly displayed throughout the virtual paint party and the tangible longevity of the experience that they shared. An experience we want to spread and bring to more families!
“Our family enjoyed every second of the paint experience. The instructor was fun and engaging and helped us create some wonderful paintings”

We introduced our instructor Tessa recently, check out that blog post.

“What I liked most about the experience was watching my family really get into the activity. Everyone was engaged, smiling and proud of what they were learning and how their paintings turned out. When the instructor asked everyone to share their pictures individually, it was so awesome to watch each person proudly display their version of the painting” and “The paintings are proudly on display in our home so we are always reflecting on the experience. We have had some fun debates about whose is the best and when we can set up another painting challenge”.

Simply put our virtual paint parties are “Easy, Fun, Memorable, Innovative, Engaging, Cost Effective, Convenient, And Worthwhile”.

Meet Tessa -- Our New Art instructor

Meet Tessa, our new artist/instructor at An Eye 4 Art.

She's a fun and loving mother to her sons Hudson and Holland who are five and three years old. Then there is the baby of the family, her daughter Hattie-Jane who is eighteen months old. Tessa shares her amazing family with Justin, her husband of eight years.

A local Hoosier, born and raised in Newburgh, Indiana she attended Castle Elementary and Castle High School in her formative, art introductory years. At Castle she rocked paintbrushes and H2B pencils over the swords and maces -- the castle crowd knows a thing or two about that, after all, it is
the home of the knights.

Like everyone else in Newburgh, There is a very high possibility that you could run into her on the Evansville or Newburgh waterfront while out for a casual evening stroll.
For Tessa, art has always been a hobby and a passion, and she’s now really excited to share her love for art through paintings with everyone who attends a virtual paint party.

“I was introduced to Art & Crafts in the third grade as a kid, then and even now the process is what I describe as simply magical. It is exhilarating each time to see what I’ll create, to challenge myself to bring to reality a design or concept I've visualized in my head”. After high school I stepped away from Art for a bit but still focused on it as an elective, it remained a passion but a much less ventured hobby.

“I do a bit of everything. Painting and crafts, however, I really do enjoy crafts a lot, some of which I’m looking to add to our repertoire of offerings here at An Eye 4 Art.”

“A few of my specialties are hair bows, wooden door hangers, and wreaths. If there’s something I’ve never done as an artist, I am always ready to try new things. I never shy away from a challenge.”

This momma bear is always around family, the kiddos monopolize her time and she enjoys every minute of it. It was a mere coincidence or fate that led her to An Eye 4 Art.

“I met Simone (the owner) at work -- she had just started at Deaconess and I’ve been working in the Dietary Department for a while now, we struck a conversation up and somewhere in there she spoke about An Eye 4 Art. It was set!”

To think, two Art lovers would become acquainted at a hospital. Fate? Destiny? Coincidence? Who knows? One certainty is they are looking to bring smiles and happiness to everyone through their virtual paint parties.

As an instructor, Tessa wants to allay the fears and doubts from everyone who considers trying out one of our virtual paint parties.
“It doesn't matter how good or bad you think you are at painting or just simply being creative. Everyone is good at art and I’m here to help them through it, to be patient and encouraging and share in their magical journey of creating their own masterpieces”

“I want to ensure it's an enjoyable experience for everyone!”

THE INSPIRATION: AN EYE 4 ART & ENTREPRENEURSHIP

After working 25+ years in corporate America and in academia, (30 if you include survivor jobs), I decided to take the leap and become a small business owner doing what I love most, bringing joy, fun, creativity and great art to others, and as such, An Eye 4 Art was born.

I envisioned a community, a space -- physical or virtual, where people could share a moment, a calm, relaxing moment or an exhilarating experience where they realize they can actually paint, all they needed was paint, a brush, canvas and some direction.

A space that was family friendly, so kids could share in the joy.
A space that transcends generations or target markets: somewhere that could feed party people, the DIY crowd, the comfort from the couch audience and the business savvy, gala going, fundraising, donor talking, team building, anniversary celebrating, church bonding, loving group of people who needed an engagement that was multifaceted and could serve everyone.

I really just wanted to share my passion with the world and I hope you can join me soon at one of our events.

Entrepreneur, educator, career advisor, philanthropist, traveler, event planner, project leader and believer are all tidbits of my life. I’m Simone, a lover of ART.

Picture
I wanted to create a business that could be handed down generation to generation.

A legacy of independence, self-sufficiency, pride of ownership and financial stability.

A business that could bring fun, joy and escapism to the world, a business where lovers of art, casuals and enthusiasts of the paint brush could unwind with a glass of wine, enjoy friends and just detach from the world and express themselves.
Art is a part of everything we do. Art transcends time. It conveys history, language, emotions, ancestry, messages, and in its simplest or complex form, in the eye of the beholder, it conveys beauty. Much like a smile, with art you don’t always need words to express how you feel.

An Eye 4 Art virtual paint parties will offer beautiful, fun, and whimsical acrylic designs on canvas so that you too can flex your artistic muscles. Everyone has An Eye 4 Art and we look forward to welcoming you, your families and friends to one of our virtual paint parties.
Remember, it’s OK to color outside the line and the “earth” without “art” is just “eh.”

Peace, Love & Happiness. See you soon!
